Senior Airman Keegan Vanderpoel, a munitions specialist with the 4th Equipment Maintenance Squadron, Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, N.C., builds a precision-guided munition at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, July 30 in preparation for the Air Force air-to-ground Weapons System Evaluation Program known as Combat Hammer. Combat Hammer, run by the 53d Wing's 86th Fighter Weapons Squadron, verifies weapon system performance, determines reliability, evaluates capability and limitations, identifies deficiencies, recommends corrective actions, and maintains Combat Air Forces data to support Air Force decision makers.
