Mr. Gordon Pollard, Lockheed Martin pilot controller, is sprayed with water by Lt. Col. J.D. Lee, 82nd Aerial Targets Squadron commander, during a traditional “Fini Flight” celebration at Tyndall May 29. Pollard’s flight May 29 marks the final flight of his 52-year career, during which he flew more than 8630 total flight hours in 11 different airframes. Pollard retired from his duties as a pilot controller at Tyndall May 29.
