Marines participate in first-ever joint WSEP

Ordance Shop personnel load a live AIM-9X missile on a Marine F/A-18, Feb. 17 at Tyndall Air Force Base. The F/A-18 Squadron VMFA-115 “Silver Eagles” are based at Marine Corps Air Station in Beaufort, S.C. and are participating in the first ever Joint Combat Archer Air-to-Air Weapons Systems Evaluation Program. The program run by the 83rd Fighter Weapons Squadron provides the opportunity to fire live missiles and rounds and moving targets over the Gulf of Mexico. (U.S. Air force photo by Lisa Norman)
