29th TSS changes commanders Published Aug. 5, 2008 EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- Lt. Col. Hank Jenkins took command of the 29th Test Systems Squadron July 29 during the change of command ceremony at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. Colonel Jenkins moved up from the director of operations position with the 28th Test and Evaluation Squadron to take his first command position. The 29th Test System Squadron supports multiple aircraft simulators and labs across the country. Name: Lt. Col. Hank Jenkins Hometown: Titusville Fla. I'm looking forward to working with the professionals of the 29th and playing a part in their service to the warfighter. What are your goals/agenda during your time as commander? My goal is to faithfully serve the members of the 29th and ensure they have funding, manpower, training and resources to effectively accomplish the mission. What is one particular life lesson you've gained from your time in the military? You will never know what you can accomplish unless you seek responsibility and challenge yourself. What type of hobbies/activities do you have outside of work? Fishing, golfing and trail running with my family, cooking, and working out. If there was one thing about military life you would change what would it be? I've been blessed to be able to serve in the military. I've done so many interesting things and have made great friendships. The military has taught me a lot about myself, my country and what it means to serve...I wouldn't change a thing.
